Jim mówi o nowej płycie,DVD i wielu różnych ciekawostkach z życie prywatnego i zespołu:
- Evil Jared, Q-Ball, and I all have studios in our house, so much like the last four records, we're making this one on our own.
- We're doing everything but recording the drums at my house. We're going to record The Yin at Evil Jared's house in June.
- Currently, I've been doing the programming for three hip-hop songs. Q-Ball and I have been writing lyrics for one of them, which is called "Smash" (for now).
- I'm also concentrating on tightening up three demos that would become the songs we're going to work on in June.
- There won't be more than two dance songs on this record, because Evil Jared hates that kind of music.
There will be at least three hip-hop songs.
There will be some Pixies and Weezer type tracks.
- As you probably know, record companies are evil. The first D.V.D. we made, "One Fierce Beer Run" has sold about 30,000 copies, yet the record company sent me a letter saying I owed them $50,000.00, which makes no sense because I paid for everything except manufacturing and distributing it. So "Hooray For Groupies" is about 75% finished, but I don't want to give it to them to put out until the issues with the first one are resolved. It's not so much about the money as it is about being swindled by clueless jerkoffs with no soul.
- The Radiohead idea was definitely cool, but I think that only works for established artists. (Radiohead wydali swój ostatni album za darmo w sieci, jak ktoś chciał mógł zapłacić za niego na oficjalnej stronie zespołu)
(ogólnie muzyce i darmowej muzyce i programach TV w sieci za darmo)
- Everybody in the entertainment business has different feelings about 50 Cent being downloaded for free, watching S.N.L. clips on YouTube so N.B.C. loses out on the advertising dollars, and ripping The Simpsons movie before it hits the theaters. They also have a million different 'solutions' to the 'problem'. But is it a 'problem'? Wouldn't music be better if no one was doing it for the money?
- It's definitely stealing and I do it all the time. However, I'm on the frontline and I can tell you without a doubt that it directly effects the music business. The biggest C.D. sales year in history was 2000 and global sales are down 66% since then.
- That's a bunch of boring shit, but I want to see the artists that I personally love stay in the game, so I buy everything (vinyl too!) that Depeche Mode, The Fall, John Frusciante, In Flames, Mar, M.I.K.E., Morrissey, NOFX, The Pixies, Placebo, Slayer, Tomcraft, and Weezer put out.
Notice the lack of post-2000 bands on my list. That's another effect of the internet, everyone can live in their own little world, which I think is cool, but it's hard for any up-and-coming artist to make an impact or a living.
- Speaking of up-and-coming, some kids from Texas called Man Factory made a rock opera about Street Fighter II that I can't stop listening to!

Oh yeah, we're putting out new Helltrain and J.J. Sinatra in the next couple of months (and some HIM stuff) so if anybody has any ideas on how to get people to check it out, let me know.
- As far as the Federal Moguls, I've been really busy, but Q-Ball just gave me the record on Friday, so remind me in a few weeks and I'll let you know what I think about it!
O trasie koncertowej w 2009 roku
- We've been thinking about doing six weeks in the U.S., a week in Canada, three months in Europe, and three weeks in Australia, Japan, and New Zealand in 2009.
- I hope to be in Poland in 2009. Love it there!
- The five of us in the band want to do a "50 States In 50 Days" tour with NOFX and Turbonegro. However, we haven't asked either of the bands, our managers, or our booking agents, so who knows?
- You're absolutely right about the set list. We fight about it all of the time, so we seem to always end up with the same one. What songs would you like to hear?
- I liked the N*Sync dance, but Evil Jared didn't want to do it anymore.
Ciekawostki
- Nope! I have never smoked pot, but all my friends do. I stopped drinking from age 14 to 21, not because I was straight edge, but because I liked it too much. I've only done the gay drugs: Ecstasy, G.H.B., and Ketamine. I stopped doing them in 2000, because again, I liked it too much. Now I strictly drink Mickey's and eat Valium.
- Evil Jared fucked our manager's wife too. In an elevator!
- It's not so much how much he drinks. His trick is to do it towards the end of the show or when he knows there's a lighting cue for the stage to go black, so he can barf most of it up.
- If I don't have Mickey's, it armagnac or vodka! I do like Kwak, though.
- Nope, I'm not gay. I'll just do anything for a laugh. I'm a chuckle whore. By the way, "Chuckle Whore" was my wrestling name in the mid-to-late Eighties.
- Yeah, one of the real downers is we're not allowed to invite audience members on stage anymore. Several of the lawsuits against us came from 'audience participation'. Pussies!
- "Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo" is my favorite song I've written because at the time, all of my friends in bands we're fucking around with weird time signatures and bizarre arrangements. So I just thought, let's do a thinly-veiled pop song with a step-on-the-distortion-pedal for the chorus like Nirvana and a Pixies' acoustic-guitar-strum underneath it all.
O Minghags
- We did a night's worth of shooting, so I can't imagine that we're in it for more than five minutes. I'm actually more excited that my girlfriend is in it, because she doesn't want anything to do with anything that has to do with 'showbiz'! Bam ran out of extras, so she has a cameo.
Ulubione piosenki Q-Ball'a:
I dig:
'I'm The Least You Could Do' from HF.
'Right Turn Clyde' from HFB.
'Yellow Fever' from OFBC.
'She Ain't Got No Legs' from UYF.
But honestly, I am really feeling most of our new stuff as well. Maybe it's because they are still new and fresh or maybe we came along as songwriters. Please disregard the latter choice.
Znowu Jim
- someone asked if I liked hockey, which I don't.
Ever since Q-Ball got me into football, I love the Philadelphia Eagles and The Yin's got me watching Arsenal games now!
Q-Ball hates the Eagles too!
Pytanie o sampel w WEAPOM
Also the beggining section of Never let me down by depeche mode, is that what you put in Why's everybody always picking on me, halfway through the verse just before the chorus?
It sounds very similar but just altered notes, and i'm sure I saw it noted somewhere in the album sleeve.
- It's not a sample, but slightly different notes recorded with the intention of sounding exactly like "Never Let Me Down Again"!
- the bus is out of control. Other bands have lots of rules for their bus. We never had any, so we made up one: DUDES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR OPEN-TOED SHOES!
Q-Ball and I wanted to work this: [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] into our show, but we knew people would start bringing their controllers and fuckin' up the program!
Nowy sprzęt Q
Alright nardos and heffers, I just got the new Rane TTM 57 mixer that runs Serato right from the mixer instead of me getting ashes and beer on my laptop. I can keep that bitch under the DJ table so no one can throw a bottle and crack my screen again (Thanks Moscow!).

Now I can sync music videos to whatever audio I am playing and when I scratch the encoder record, it scratches the video as well, without any latency. If the song doesn't have a video made for it, then it comes with some far-out-Pink Floyd effects I could generate or I can sync Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons or whatever else makes me laugh to the audio.
Here are a few youtube videos that can help me describe its features.

O klipie No Hard Feelings
I think "No Hard Feelings" will end up being a live video, as the one we made absolutely sucked. The only cool part was that Q-Ball was the director of photography!
O piosenkach na singlach
Usually, we decide what the singles should be based on our managers' input. We never listen to the record companies.
Sorry that you hate the remixes of the singles we release, but unfortunately, I love them! Especially because it allows us to throw some work our friends' way.
O wydaniu darmowych koncertów do ściągnięcia
And yes, someday we'll make every show that we have ever recorded available, probably for free!
O grach komputerowych
No, because in 1994 I was playing "Doom II" eight hours a day, so I had to give up the video games.
However, I've been thinking of firing up my Colecovision!
